Lage Andersen has practiced tax law with Carr McClellan for over four decades. Throughout his career, Lage’s goal has always been to minimize his clients’ tax burdens, and he guides his clients through the tax implications of a wide range of situations: the sale or exchange of property, a corporate merger or acquisition, a payment received in settlement of a lawsuit, an audit, a tax litigation or a tax collection dispute.

Lage serves as a strong advocate for clients involved in audits, tax controversies, administrative appeals, litigation, collection matters or property tax disputes. He regularly handles such disputes with the IRS, the California Franchise Tax Board, the California State Board of Equalization or a local Assessment Appeals Board. His expertise includes partnership tax, the taxation of real estate, including 1031 like-kind exchanges, and property tax assessments and changes in ownership.
